Wendy never really stopped reading children's and young adult books and thinks you shouldn't, either. A spark of interest in recently-published books was renewed, however, when Wendy rediscovered her love of YA because of a little book called The Hunger Games. Since that time, she's been astounded by the quality of young adult literature that's currently on the market. This blog was founded because of her burning desire to share her love of books with fellow readers who know what it's like to read feverishly late into the night.
Wendy is a recovering entertainment publicist, former Publishers Weekly reviewer, and occasional freelance writer who makes her home in sunny Los Angeles, CA. Her favorite books are the ones that make her feel intensely or surprise her in unexpected ways. Her favorite writers include Philip Pullman, Cassandra Clare, Sarah Waters, Beverly Cleary, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Alison Goodman, and Cynthia Hand.
You can find her on GoodReads, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest, as well as her old children's books & crafts blog.

She collects lucky pennies, banknotes and paper labels from teabags. She likes the smell of ink on paper. She’s a night owl. She shoots film photography and still mails letters to friends. She can’t swim, whistle or make farting noises with her hands. She’d rather do it with Jennifer than Angelina (despite still being team Angelina). She’s an anglophile. She loves trains, Mac lipsticks and warm milk. She’s easy to amuse and difficult to bore. She plays with matches. She plans to one day become a flutist, a rock climber and a rider.
She’d rather read than sleep. She’s one to leave the house with one book in her bag, and come home with seven. She bought her copy of Pride and Prejudice at a flea market. She plans to pass down her copies of Harry Potter as future family heirloom. She has books on her nightstand, on the floor by her bed and between her pillow and the wall. She’s quite reasonable about purchasing and collecting books. She wipes books she borrows from the library. She circles typos on books she borrows from the library. She’s a paper book purist (despite recently deciding to buy a kindle). She’s a contributing writer in a really awesome book blog.

tonya is a lover of lower case letters, poetry, and punctuation--especially the Oxford comma. she has quotation marks tattooed on her wrists, a semicolon on her neck, and thinks she'd probably cover her skin in words--if only she could decide which ones.
she grew up in Stony Brook, spent long summers on Prince Edward Island, and vacationed in Middle Earth. as an adult she's attended Hogwarts, caught fire in Panem, and slipped through doorways in Prague.
when she is not tucked between the pages of her books, traveling on the wings of words, she can be found giggling with her snarky nine year old, nerding out over British television, and generally being an enormous goofball.
you can also find her on GoodReads, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest.
