The Enemy Series: mini review + giveaway

I’ve been meaning to read Charlie Higson The Enemy series for ages because so many of my friends rave about it, so when the opportunity came up to review the books and offer up a giveaway to our readers, I jumped at the opportunity. With the latest book The Fallen out next week, now is the perfect time to check out the series! This post-apocalyptic zombie series is based around the unusual idea that adults that have turned into flesh-eaters, so the kids are left to fend for themselves. I really enjoyed the action sequences in the first book, and there are a lot of scenes that would look great on screen. The gore is handled well; it gets kind of squicky in parts, as you’d expect, but it’s not too over the top or gross. In Undead, fifteen-year-old Bobby Brook and her mother moved back to Scotland from the US, where they’d lived for six years, following the death of Bobby’s father.
