Don’t Look Back by Jennifer Armentrout (ARC)

Fans of this author’s are sure to love this one, especially since the romance is a pretty big part of the story. Isn’t that a creepy cover? You can practically hear the plinky plunky crazy music box music when you look at it.

Far From You by Tess Sharpe (ARC)

This one has very high ratings from most of my friends. You should know that this is written more like a contemporary novel with some suspense elements in it, rather than being an outright thriller. The triangle is pretty interesting, though, because it involves…do you really wanna know? If so, here you go: View Spoiler »

Dear Killer by Katherine Ewell (hardcover)

This one has an intriguing premise: teen girl has been killing for profit for half her life. I have to admit that I haven’t finished this one yet because a few chapters in, I’m finding some of the set-up to be pretty implausible, but I’m offering this one up in case you’re interested in checking it out. Maybe you’ll enjoy it more than I did? I do like the narrative voice, though–it’s a very readable POV.’

Cold Fury and Flicker and Burn by T. M. Goeglein (ARC and hardcover, autographed)

I mean, Jason Bourne meets The Sopranos. What more do you need to know?! These two books will rev you up just in time for the final book’s release this summer.

I love a good thriller! I enjoyed Ten by Gretchen McNeil, it had a creepy Clue feel to it that I loved.

  2. Elena

I’ve not yet encountered a YA thriller that can hold a candle to Barry Lyga’s I Hunt Killers. Maybe there’s one in this bunch though, which is why I would love to win the giveaway. :)

  3. Emma

I really enjoy a good thriller. The best I have ever read is The Twin’s Daughter. It is one of my all-time favorite books!

  4. Scarllet

I barely read thrillers but I’d like to win because these books sounds interesting. It’s something I’m into and I’d love it.

I can’t wait to read Don’t Look Back, i’ve been waiting for it to be released but my libraries aren’t getting it in stock any time soon. All these books are on my to-read but since they’re all new authors to me, i’m scared to buy because i might not enjoy as much as i want to. Great givewaway!

  6. Laura

Such a great reading list! If I don’t win, I’ll definitely pick those books up anyway. (But I’d love to win. Who doesn’t love winning?)

  7. Kate I.

What a fab giveaway … three of the titles were already on my TBR! I don’t think I’ve read much in the way of YA thrillers, but back in the day I read suspense more than any other genre. Standouts include THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and Stephen King’s MISERY (with nary a paranormal being among the characters … this book chilled me to the core).

  8. Sherry

The Door to December by Dean Koontz

I would love to try out some YA thrillers.

  9. Katie Bucklein

I haven’t read many YA thrillers, but I keep meaning to get into the genre. I hope these books are a great introduction into it! (And thanks for hosting the giveaway ;))

I really am getting into more mystery books, and I like that! Far From you looks really intriguing from the synopsis! I really want to see how the lead figures out who the killer is.

  11. Chenise J.

I absolutely love thrillers and mysteries and I’m so excited to read these new releases! There’s so many YA ones coming out this year and that makes me very, very happy!

  12. Amy

All of the books look great . I’m especially looking forward to reading Don’t look Back.

  13. Shayna

Far From You and Dear Killer have been on my to-reads shelf for so long! I haven’t heard of Cold Fury, but after checking it out on goodreads, I can’t wait to get my hands on it! A la “Taken” but with a teen girl!

Do you host giveaways on your own blog, Hershey? If so, I would imagine that you understand that every blogger does the best he/she can with giveaways. We DO host international giveaways from time to time, but a. often they’re US/Canada restricted because publishers or authors set those terms or b. we already spend a lot of money out of our own pockets to ship books as it is, so we’ve cut down severely over the past year or so on overseas shipping.

I spend hundreds of dollars of my own money every year to mail out and/or buy books just because I want to share them with our readers, so whenever I see a sadface comment like this about international giveaways, it makes me feel pretty bad. I realize that it probably wasn’t your intention to make us feel guilty or like we’re not doing enough for our readers, but that’s how comments like that make us feel. I hope you’ll consider the big picture with what we’re dealing with in the future.

Does “The Andromeda Strain” count as suspense? I read that in high school and looooved it.

And I was whelmed by “Far From You,” but I realize that I’m in the minority. I do like that there are books about the sorts of things that happen in the spoiler, though. Representation for YA audiences = important.

I haven’t read much in the way of teen thriller/murder books and I’m eager to rectify that. I think the last one I read (without having a supernatural elements such as Mara Dyer) was Locked In by Nancy Werlin. I really enjoyed that one, but I’ve had way too much focus on scifi/Fantasy YA lately, so any of these would be a nice departure.

Don’t Look Back caught my eye right away. I’m such a fan of Armentrout and have been highly anticipating this one! Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. Heidi D

I’m looking forward to reading each and every one of these books. They’re all on my TBR list. I think the last mystery/thriller that I read and enjoyed was Pretty Girl-13. I loved it. It was not what I was expecting at all. I also really liked The Rules for Disappearing and cannot wait for its sequel.

    Awesome giveaway. Thanks for sharing!

  18. Michelle Lee

I would love to win this giveaway because I really wanted to read the books you have listed to giveaway. Thank you so much for this opportunity! :)

  19. Larissa

Thanks for the lovely giveaway! (: I’ve always been interested in murder. Okay, that didn’t sound good and quite morbid. But do you understand what I mean? It’s quite fascinating to read about. Let me stress the read there lol.

Out of these books I’d probably most enjoy Far From You and Cold Fury. They seem the most intriguing and promising to me c:

All these books look SO GOOD! Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever read a thriller, at least not one that was memorable. I feel like lots of authors try and fail at writing thrillers, I don’t know. But thank you for the giveaway!

  24. Christine T

I’ve been really looking forward to reading Don’t Look Back for awhile now and would really love a copy. I haven’t heard of the other books but Cold Fury sounds interesting. I haven’t read many YA thrillers, so adding these books to my collection would be nice!

  25. Samantha

The covers for Don’t Look Back and Far From You are so enticing. I would squeal with childish delight if I won these. :D I really need to expand and read more thrillers. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

o0o0o0o I like your selection of thrillers. I’d love to read Far From You and Don’t Look Back. Both have received some great reviews, and you’re right – Don’t Look Back has creepy radiating off of it. Far From You has a very gorgeous cover. Stringed lights are so simple, but beautiful at the same time.
