Big Box of Summer ARCs Giveaway!

May 30, 2013 2013, giveaway, Wendy 226

Our big box of May giveaways is a little late since I was sick for a few weeks, but I actually think timing for this works out well–this way those of us who didn’t get to go to BEA have something to look forward to!

We have an amazing line-up of summer books to give away, including some dystopians, scifi, a historical novel from an Aussie author, and some summery reads by favorite contemporary authors:

The Heiresses by Allison Rushby
All I Need by Susane Colasanti
The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler
Nantucket Blue by Leila Howland
The Ward by Jordana Frankel
The End Games by T. Michael Martin
Parallel by Lauren Miller
The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise
Invisibility by David Levithan and Andrea Cremer

Follow the links to GoodReads, where you can find out more info about the books. And yes, we’ll give whoever gets The End Games that fun Walking Dead cutout, too–it was originally a stick puppet that appeared on Epic Reads Tea Time Chat!

Here’s how this works: enter your details into the Rafflecopter form. You must also leave a comment below telling us:

1. What country you’re in.
2. The books you’re most excited about reading and why!

Please, please follow directions. We hate disqualifying entries, it makes us cranky and sad.

There will be THREE winners!

  • Wendy will hand-pick one international winner from the comments (This is where you can make your case instead of just praying that the cruel, unfeeling Rafflecopter gods will smile down upon you!) who gets one book of his/her choice. Hint: Wendy likes to be amused, and is definitely swayed by sincerity, thoughtfulness, and loyal readers.
  • A U.S. winner will be chosen by Rafflecopter, who will receive his/her choice from the four of the remaining books.
  • A second U.S. winner will be chosen by Raflecopter, who will receive the remaining four titles!

Note: Although Rafflecopter will pick the US winners, we will still be checking to make sure the winner followed directions and left a thoughtful comment per directions.

Open internationally to readers aged 18 and older, or 13 and older with parental permission. See entry form for complete details. Good luck!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Our thanks to our friends at Pan Macmillan Australia, Penguin Teen, Simon Teen, and Harper Teen  for providing the ARCs for this giveaway.

Nantucket Blue is a gifted ARC from our friend Caitlin from WhatchYAreading, and Parallel was a gifted ARC as well.

    Canada!
I’m interested in Parallel and Invisibility since I’ve seen them around my bookstore a lot and the goodreads reviews for them are really good. :) Plus, the book covers are stunning. That’s always a perk.

  2. Ashly

I live the US and I’m interested in reading the Ward because I want to know the main character has to go though with finding this cure and if she finds it and love. To me the whole plot sounds interesting.

  3. Melanie Williams

    I live in the US.
I would love to read Invisibility! I love the idea of it and that a man grows up living that way. I love the romance it seems will happen the book and want to know how he could become visible!

  4. Abbey Thomas

I live in the good ‘ol US of A. I am really excited about several of these books but in particular I am hungry for The End Games and Parallel. In BAM today I held Parallel for the longest but had to put it down in order to get In The After. I nearly cried but even book lovers must adhere to a budget.

  5. Mel@Thedailyprophecy

I’m from The Netherlands and I’m very interested in reading The end games. I’ve heard great things about Michael and Patrick’s relationship and it’s rare to have a good family bond in books nowadays. And the story itself sounds good and exciting :D

  6. Ashley Bodette

    I am in the U.S.

Even though I am excited to read all of these, I think I am most excited to read INVISIBILITY! It has been on my TBR shelf on Goodreads the longest, and it feels like I have been waiting FOREVER to read it! (All of these are on my TBR shelf, so it would be fabulous to win any of them!)

  7. Alenette Bowman

    I live in the U.S.
I’ve always wanted to read these books:
    The Heiresses by Allison Rushby
All I Need by Susane Colasanti
The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler
    Nantucket Blue by Leila Howland
    The Ward by Jordana Frankel
The End Games by T. Michael Martin

Especially All I Need and The End Games! I’ve been asking my parents to get me a copy of them but they never did. :( When I saw this, I was more than eager to enter! All of these books interest me and I think I will enjoy reading them! Thank you for this wonderful giveaway!

  8. Ashley D.

I’m in the US. There’s a lot of great books up there that I totally want to read but the ones I’m most interested in are The End Games and The Ward.

  9. Stefanie Peninger

    First: Austria
Second: I’m most excited about Invisibility because I love David Levithan’s other books and also the cover is so pretty.

  10. Tiffany H

I’m in the US and I’m really really excited about Invisibility. I’ve always been drawn to books where the protagonist finds an unexpected ally and together they adventure and stand!

  11. theartgirl

    USA

All of the books look good, but I’m especially excited about The End Games. Now that the Walking Dead series is done for the season, I need my zombie fix. ; )

  12. Kelly Jarvis

    I live in Australia.
Its winter here so I want to sit in front of the fire and escape in a summer read so I am interested in Nantucket Blue.

  13. Kelly Jarvis

    I am from Australia.
Its winter in Australia so I want to sit in front of the fire and read a summer escape and pretend to be warm so I am most interested in Nantucket Blue.

  14. Betty Liu

I’m from Australia and I am seriously dying to read The End Games because of it’s killer premise (and cover!).
I haven’t EVER read a good apocalyptic/zombie book but this still sounds right up my alley, and reminds me some what of Angelfall (the sibling relationship) and the 5th Wave.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway! Fingers crossed :)

  15. Piper Pakula

I live in America and am most excited for Invisibility and The Ward! I love David Levithan and want to read anything he wrote and The Ward sounds so cool!

  16. Amal Rose

    1) I’m from Egypt…land of the mummies, jk :P
2)I just want to say that I have literally been sitting at my screen for 2 days just fangirling about this giveaway then I decided to breathe and actually write a comment

Anyway, moving on, I have decided that I want to read Invisibility the most, for the same reason you want to ride a dragon: it’s new, it looks exhilarating, and you want to know what it feels like. And frankly, the co-writers of this book have such different styles so it would be interesting to see how they put the book together.

Second book I want to read is The End Game because it’s about zombies and I’m feelin’ creepy, jk. The real reason I want to read this book is that before I found out that T. Michael Martin wrote this book, I watched his Youtube channel and I’ve always liked his mentality and his words, so I’m looking forward to reading this book!

The third book I want to read is The Ward. Besides the cover being ridiculously attractive, Jordana Frankel and I have a lot in common, including the fact that we had the same idea for a book. I mostly want to read The Ward because it’s so similar to an idea for a short story that I wrote. Plus, I love Jordana Frankel’s blog. :)

BTW thanks for making a giveaway available for people outside the USA, few people do :D

  17. Misti

I live in the US and and I love all the choices. I really do want to read Nantucket Blue though. Who doesn’t love a little romance?

  18. Grace Barber

I’m from the wet, windy and occasionally sunny UK!
I’m super excited to read The End Games. The premise sounds so AMAZING and I’ve already heard loads of brilliant things about it. I recently just finished Siege and Storm (DARKLING!) and bought Anna and the French Kiss which hopefully will be my perfect summer read.

  20. Makaela

I am in the US. I would love to read The Book of Broken Hearts. I have been finding every other young adult contemporary book to be quite boring. But I do love the family/neighborly love theme in young adult. Some of them can be so adorable. Thank you for the chance to win !

  21. Aline Tobing

I’m from Indonesia and I’m interested in Parrallel. I read the blurb and love the premise of the book. Hopefully, I could get my hands ASAP on it and it turns out great!

    Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

  22. Jennifer Greenlees

I live in the U.S.A., in Arizona, and I’d like to first thank you for sponsoring this giveaway. :) I’m hard-pressed to choose which book I’d most like to read, as it’s somewhat of a four-way tie between The Ward, The End Games, Parallel, and Invisibility.

The Ward and The End Games are currently the forerunners on my wish list, as they are dystopian novels. I really like such books, as I am rather (alright, very) cynical when it comes to the future of the human race. As a result, I find authors’ dystopian imaginings very intriguing.

The latter two titles, Parallel and Invisibility, are interesting to me because they are paranormal reads, and I have been devouring paranormal and urban fantasy books in recent years.

I am new to young adult titles, as I haven’t been a “young adult” for a long time and so I didn’t think such works had much that would interest me. I’ve recently learned differently, as I’ve read some great YA titles (ie: Divergent; Shadow and Bone).

I’d be very excited to win a title in this giveaway, as not only would I get an interesting book, but my horizons can be expanded more and my opinion of YA titles can be elevated. :)

  23. Brianna

    First: US
Second: I’m interested in The Boyfriend App, The Ward, Parrallel and Invisibility because I’ve heard really good things about all of them and they sound really interesting.

  24. Rosa Patricia

We want to read all the books in your giveaway! They are amazing summer reads and we’ve all of ’em in our to-read shelf.
I specially want to read The Ward first. It seems pretty cool and the plot really interesting.
And Rosa wants to read Invisibility first, because it’s different from our usual reads.
Thank you for this amazing giveaway! =)

  25. Merisha Abbott

  31. D

    I live in the US.
First of all, I am excited to read The End Games. A game? *perking up like my cat* Zombies? Romance? Yes, definitely yes, and YES. I would appreciate a zombie apocalypse right now in fact. That would be freak-tastic-ly awesome, as my sister would put it. Anyway, sounds like my type of book. I also want to read the Boyfriend App. It definitely sounds weird at first, but my curiosity cannot keep me away. Also, I feel like maybe I can relate to the whole need money for college thing. I wonder if there are any contests like that around here where I live. I kind of feel bad for being such a couch potato right now. Anyway, it’s nice to take a break from the paranormal books I’ve been reading lately. Last I want to read the Heiress. The 1920s is a time period that I want to live in, and since I can’t do that (yet oooOOooo), reading about it is certainly something that I would love to do!

  33. pymette

woot!! I’m Canadian and this entire stack of books looks super-tempting. The Walking Dead cutout would totally go to the husband, as I’m way too scared of that show ;)

Parallel is the book I’m MOST excited about; I will read anything with parallel universes in it. (Or watch anything: Fringe anyone??)

I’ve also read some great reviews about Nantucket Blues. Living in Ontario, I have to get my beach fix from books and TV.

thanks again for the super giveaway! xo leanna

  34. kim

  35. Louise @ Readers Confession

Ooh sorry… I forgot to mention Rick in my previous post…how could I forget to mention him, I mean he’s no Daryl Dixon, but Rick is so lovely! Is Rick for giveaway too? ;-)

  36. Louise @ Readers Confession

I’m in wet and windy UK, so a massive thanks for making this giveaway International! I don’t do very good in giveaways, I don’t tend to win things, the one giveaway that I did win, the blogger never sent me my book, and ignored my email :-(

Anyway, what books am I looking forward to this Summer, well I like some nice contemporary reads in the Summer. I’m also looking forward to reading some romantic suspense, the KGI series by Maya Banks, and I think I might have to re read the Harry Potter series too.

As much as I love new releases, I have so many older books that seem to get forgotten about so I think this Summer is going to be the perfect time to dust a few off and read them.

Looking at the gorgeous owl on the toadstool and the light background of your blog reminds me of the Summer that we won’t be having here ;-)

    Happy reading x

The Exams – Must answer all questions accurately

    1. Where do you live?

I live in a weird place that starts with a U, and ends in an A. Oh, and there is a S in the middle

The Book of Broken Hearts. Did I answer this right??? Did I?

    3. Explain your choice in three complete sentences. Only three.

I have never read an Ockler novel. I am ashamed of myself everyday. People even whisper about that wicked girl that has never read an Ockler book!

Also, there have been so many good reviews circulating around, I hope the next one will be mine!

    Oh, and thirdly, I see pretty cover… purple… orange… flower… book.
And I love Contemporary. Finally, let’s all pretend this was written in 3 sentences shall we?

Your Exams are waiting for Analysis…

And honestly? It is not easy to pick simply one book out of those. I don’t think I can. Although when I REALLY think about it… I guess either The Ward or Parallel because who wouldn’t want those on their shelf? Or
The Heiresses, because I love reading the work of authors from my own country. :)

  62. librarymom

I’m in the U.S. and while all of the books look good, I’m most excited about The Book of Broken Hearts, I’m a sucker for a good romance (especially in the summer). I’m also intrigued by The Ward (sounds exciting) and Parallel (who hasn’t wondered what might have been if you had made a different choice…). Thanks for the giveaway!

  63. elie_3173

    I live in the Philippines.

I’m thrilled to read The End Games. I’ve read so much dystopian-romance-mushy books lately that I wanted to somehow switch my mind on something else. I bet The End Games has something unique inside of it.

I am excited about all of them as I tend to read a book a night so they all sound marvelous but not healthy to my sleep :D

  66. Sophia

I live in the USA. :)

Oh, my goodness. There are so many gorgeous titles to choose from. But with Nantucket Blue in the bunch, it’s definitely not a competition. I cannot tell you how many GLOWING reviews I’ve seen of that one. I feel like I’ve almost read it myself. Also, it seems like such a perfect summer read. (Despite the fact that in all the reviews, people say they assumed it was light, but were surprised at its depth and intensity.) Nantucket Blue seems nothing short of perfect. With these DREADFUL dual credit classes I’m taking (speech and yawn-worthy government), I could definitely use a great read. Speaking of speech, I should probably get to working on my assignment… I have to sell an afro pick to a group of motorcycle club members without using its original function. If you have any ideas, Wendy, I’m ALL EARS.

Ah, nonetheless, thanks so much for the chance to win, Wendy! *prays to Rafflecopter gods*

  67. trixietraci

I’m in the US & I’m dying to read The Book of Broken Hearts. The summary sounds very appealing & the cover is also very pretty & eye-catching.
I’ve already read Ockler’s “Bittersweet” & enjoyed it, and I’m sure this new book won’t disappoint.

  70. sodramafree

    I’m from Belgium.

I would love to read “The End Games”. Partly because I’ve been reading a lot of dystopian/zombie books and I can’t get enough of it, and partly because John Green recommended it which means it must be good.

(and come on, who wouldn’t want to get that Walking Dead cutout?)

  71. nandadoc

Hmm… Interesting collection of books! The ones that interest me the most are ‘The book of broken hearts’, ‘Invisibility’ and ‘Parallel’. I’m from Greece and it’s been just over a year now that I started reading books in english. I must say some of them are really hard to understand! But I try and most of the time I succeed!! There is only one book (so far!) I just can’t fully understand:The great Gatsby! And it’s a classic! So annoyed! Thank you for this and all the giveaways! And thank you for your reviews! :)

I live in Canada and am always looking for new reads. I’m an avid reader and love anything that is written well. It’s very cool you are opening up this giveaway internationally; so many times I enter a rafflecopter give away and then realize I don’t qualify because I’m Canadian. Thank you for the chance to win such an outstanding giveaway!

  74. EmA

I love YA. And there’s so many awesome titles in different genres. I like to shake it up and read different things. Plus, I’ve heard such great things about all of the books.

  75. Madiha S

    Hellooo There from India!!

First off thanks for this SuperMegaAwesome giveaway!

Now coming to which books I’d like to read the most I’m in a bit of a dilemma really.

    *First up!
Invisibility and The Book of Broken Hearts
Invisibility because its Andrea Cremer people! And though I did not LOVE Dash & Lily’s book of Dares, the only book I’ve read of David Levithan’s I liked the writing by him in particular. So yes, I’m excited to read this with the fact that Stephen is invisible.

The Book of Broken Hearts. Doesn’t the synopsis sound so good? The fact I’ve such good things about it certainly has me curious.

    *Number Two!
The Ward because I love Dystopia! And it sounds so intriguing really! Water Flooded Manhattan? I wonder how it occurred. Melting of the ice-caps? what transport do they use? Curious, curious, curious.

*And last but certainly not the least,
Parallel. The idea of alternate universes has always been something I’ve pondered about and with the science fiction-yness, I am looking forward to this!

So yeah! These are the books I’m excited about. :)

  76. Carla

    I’m from Portugal.

I really like Sarah Ockler so I’m excited for The Book of Broken Hearts.

  77. sshah605

I live in India which makes me an international participant!!
I am most looking forward to reading : All I Need, Parallel, Invisibility, Nantucket Blue and The Boyfriend App.

Oh you ladies are so generous with your awesome giveaways! I love how there are so many lovely Summer reads in your pile. I have my eye on one book in your stack and that is All I Need by Susane Colasnti. I remember reading one of Colasanti’s books last year and even though it dealt with some difficult issues (bullying) I just loved it. The message that came across from it was just wonderful. After devouring that book I realised I needed some more Colasanti in my life. I have once again failed in that respect as I haven’t picked up a single book by her yet. But I have a feeling I would just love All I Need, the cover is so pretty and it just gives off the vibe of being a perfect Summer read. So I would love it if I was chosen to win this book.

Btw I’m from the United Kingdom! Thanks again :)

1st off, *The Boyfriend App*. It sounds really good, and the girls in the “Epic Reads: Tea Time” videos keep talking about it, and saying it’s good. So, I am really curious about it.

2ndly, *Invisibility*. I just think it would be really interesting to try to have a relationship with someone who is invisible. It goes to show you can’t help/choose who you fall in love with.

3rdly, *All I Need*. I keep hearing that all of Colasanti’s books are good. Would like to give one a try, and see if I agree with that assessment as well.

Pretty much tied in 4th place are these 3…. *Nantucket Blue* looks like a fun Summer read. *The Heiresses* has a cover that catches my eye. And, *The Book of Broken Hearts* has a cool title that leads me to be curious about what is inside.

I’m interested in reading INVISIBILITY. I missed out on meeting the authors when they were in my area, so it’d be great to have a copy of their book. ALL I NEED sounds like a great read, too!

    I hail from Canada!

  81. Tricia C.

As a waterlogged Illinoisan, I really want to read The Boyfriend App. Read a review of it, and it sounds adorable. Thanks so much for sharing your ARCs!!

I read a review of The Boyfriend App, and it sounds adorable. I’d love to add it to my summer reading pile! I’m a central Illinoisan, squelching around in the mud and rain. Does the cover of The End Games look Patrick Ness-y?

Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

    *waves hello*
I’m from the US! Although, personally, I would rather be living in Australia or Italy. Maybe one day.

I have been dying–well basically close to dying–to read PARALLEL and THE WARD. I’ve heard a lot of people say that THE WARD was a bit of a letdown but although I value most bloggers’ opinions, I still am just itching to see what I think of it myself. A water-logged Manhattan? I would love to see what Frankel came up with in describing this world. I’ve heard so many amazing things about PARALLEL. Everyone seems to love it! I’ve been thinking about this book for months. I don’t think I’ve ever actually read a parallel universe novel but the premise sounds so fascinating.

Thank you so much for the giveaway!

  84. Nicole Layug

I’m from the U.S. and I have heard of almost all of these books but have yet to get me hands on any of them. What I really want to read the most is The End Games because it is something I haven’t read yet which really interests me. I also wanted to read Invisibility because I simply adore David Levithan and his writing. Other books I really want to read are Parrallel and The Boyfriend App.

I really look forward to Invisibility, The Ward and The Book of Broken Hearts. Their stories easily gripped me when I read their blurbs.

I’m currently in the United Arab Emirates.

The book I’m most excited to read is definitely The End Games, because John Green recommended it! Also, the premise of the book sounds fascinating, and I’m really curious about how it plays out. The promise of a sibling relationship makes it sound heartwarming, but with ZOMBIES. [Zombies make everything better.] I must admit, though, the cutout of Rick Grimes doesn’t hurt any either. *cackles*

I’m looking forward to reading “The Heiresses” by Allison Rushby. A time period & genre I love, but it’s also a bonus to add an Australian writer to my lists.

Hi! I’m from the Philippines :)

I’m dying to read Invisibility and Parallel :) I have a thing for fantasy/paranormal books and the plot summaries for both books have reeled me in and I’m more than intrigued! That and I’m a huge David Levithan fan so I’m certain that Invisibility will be a wonderful read, he has such a way with writing that is so much different from most authors I know. :)

    Thanks!

  103. Nicole

    Hey, I’m from Canada!

I am always looking for slightly creepy books because they entertain me the most so “The End Games” would be my number one choice. It sort of reminds me of The Chaos Walking Trilogy which, so far, after having read the first two books, I am thoroughly enjoying.

But for the summer, I always enjoy a good contemporary, so “Nantucket Blue” sounds very interesting as well. The characters seem really well developed from the reviews I’ve read and I love characters with depth.

I’m excited for all these books actually:) I read so much during the summer that my parents get mad at me, but I can’t help it, books are my favourite thing in the entire world; I can’t live without them.

    Great selection of books!

  104. sarahhhlovesptv

    I’m from Ireland!

The book I’m looking forward to reading the most from that list is Parallel by Lauren Miller! I’ve always been interested in the idea of parallel universes and how our lives are affected by the choices we make. It sounds like a very good book and even if I don’t win the giveaway I’ll be reading that book. Invisibility also sounds amazing & I adore David Levithan. This is an awesome giveaway!
    Thanks for doing it! Sarah.

    Thankyou for a fabulous giveaway!

    I am from Australia :)

I’m so eager to read The Book of Broken Hearts, it sounds like such a cute, fun read, The End Games has intrigued me since I first glimpsed the creepy cover & also Parallel, I love books about time travel & this sounds awesome.

  107. Melanie

In the country that’s isolated from everyone else- Australia!

Those are some lovely summery books, but The End Games? That was one creepy zombie book with a lovely brotherly interaction. Anywho, I think I get what you mean by summer books, not as in the light reads. Hah.

But I cannot wait to read The Book Of Broken Hearts. I have not yet read anything by Okler but after seeing the gushing review, I am fully intrigued.

Hugs for hosting such a generous giveaway! <33

To be honest, all of those books are on my TBR list. However, I think I’m most looking forward to reading “Nantucket Blue”. I love the cover and I’m a sucker for romance. Plus, it sounds like a great summer read. I think “Parallel” is a close second. Simply put, I’m intrigued by the plot.

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  113. Laurie Rosengren

Laurie from Madison, WI, USA here! What a great collection of new and forthcoming YA novels. As a former Borders bookseller (15 years of handselling kids books — oh, how I miss it) I am mighty blue about not being in NYC for BEA. The title I am MOST interested in is The End Games. Thanks for the contest!

  114. BookBreather

I’m in the U.S. I am looking forward to Invisibility because Andrea Cremer is the chizz and David Levithan is the chizz, so together they must be, like, the chizzchizz.

I’m also looking forward to All I Need by Susane Colasanti. I know that she is pretty good for a light, quick read. What better to read in the summer (while wishing I am on the beach)?

  115. Jas Dela Cruz

I am from the Philippines :)

I am so excited for Invisibility because two of my favorite authors wrote it and more than anything, I am intrigued how had they collab and made a story that is difficult to write in a sense that the authors’ personality might clash and to be honest, I also want to know what the story is about. Intrigued. Curious. Excited. And some wild emotions that I want to have a hold of when I read the book itself. :)

  116. Wendy Martin

I was borrrrrrn in the U.S.A. (Can you hear my off-key singing to Bruce’s song now? Anyway, I am still in the USA, although some day I hope to venture out and see the world.)

Which book am I most excited about reading? Hmmmmmmmmm… Toughy! How can one choose among: separated triplets banding together to fight a greedy half brother for their inheritance; a summer-love-then-off-to-college romance; a tale of not wanting to love the bad boy but falling for him anyway; the angst of tragedy and an off-limits relationship at the beach; a futuristic survival and search for the cure adventure; a thriller regarding battling evolving monsters in an ever-changing game; being trapped in a parallel universe and finding your soul-mate in a stranger; a fun, cutsie story of an app to help find the perfect guy; or finding out whether invisible love can conquer all. I would read any one of them in a heartbeat. But, if I absolutely positively had to pick only one, I think I would pick Parallel. It sounds different and intriguing and like it might put the perfect twist on a good life and love story. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I’m already rooting for the characters to find a way to be together and live a happy life.

  117. Beth

    I’m in the US.

I’m most interested in reading The Heiresses. I’m a sucker for the story line of having nothing to glitz & glamour. :) Invisibility also sounds like a really neat plot.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  122. Basma

    I’m from the UK :)

I’m actually looking forward to 3 books:

    -The Heiress:
How cool does it sound? And it just generally seems like a book I’d go for.

    -The Book of Broken Hearts:
Aw! This just sounds cute. I like cute books. Therefore, I like this book. After reading the blurb I have Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ stuck in my head. Yeah. I’m weird.

    -Parallel:
This just seems all ‘cool-high-tech-time-travel-y’. I like cool-high-tech-time-travel-y.

Thanks for the giveaway! I should really get back to revising now because I’m really into procrastination.

    :)

  123. Kristina Vallaste

I’m from Estonia, this small piece of land where only the selected books from all around the world accidentally wander (:

I’m excited to read all of them. I’ve never left a book unfinished, because… they look so sad left behind like this D: Haven’t you seen? It’s just… sad. And it’s important for me to read as many books as I can, especially as I want to become a published writer myself. And I need more books to review. Being a critic helps me correct flaws in my own works.

Anyway, I’m mostly looking forward to reading Parallel, I guess, ’cause I’ve read most reviews of it.

Sad truth: I’ve never experienced the Great Feeling of walking through aisles of YA, fantasy and sci-fi books (my favs), because our bookstores here are rather small and YA fiction is not as popular as in many other places in the world. My main chance of getting non-translated books is the one and only Estonian online WW bookstore Kriso – like it, but doesn’t let you feel the intoxicating smell of BOOKS! D: I can’t even use Amazon or TBD – too young to have a credit card. And, yes, I’m totally telling this because I’m hoping that this piece of information will make people feel sorry for me… :D

  127. Charlie Diaz

Good choices.. Fortunately, I read some of them so this might not be too hard for me.

To be honest, I am a bit indifferent about zombies and haven’t read a lot of books about them except Warm Bodies but I’ve seen the hype on The End Games and read some reviews and it really sounds cool. I think I need to get lost to the TEG’s world and see it’s awesomeness for myself.

Oh, and I’m from the Philippines.

  131. Mrs. Thompson

I’m in the USA and I’m most looking forward to the End Games. I’m also super frustrated because I just wrote a great comment and when I went to post it I had to log-in and it didn’t save my very rad comment! Argh! So sorry if this is a repeat and that other one shows up too. I will try to say mostly the same thing! ;-)
I LOVE the post-apocalyptic genre, which is one of the reasons I’m looking forward to reading The End Games. I teach high school literature, and I find that genre to be most similar to what teens are going through! :-) My teens also love that genre, so when I’m looking for high-interest lit it’s my go-to genre.
Personally, I love the whole zombie/zombie-esque genre, too. My students don’t all agree with me on this, but I find the zombie idea to be another way good authors expose our insides to us – all the nastiness and schemery (yes – I made up a word!) that we exhibit is given a physical form and “glorified.” I love the irony of it!
    :-)

  132. Mrs. Thompson

I’m in the USA and I’m most excited about reading The End Games! First of all, I LOVE post-apocalyptic YA novels – I think they are lovely parallels to high school life! And as a lit teacher (high school) I am always looking for high-interest reads for my students…post-apocalyptic novels are always high-interest! Second, I’m a personal fan of the zombie/zombie-esque genre! Not all of my students agree with me on this, but I think zombies are a great example of what we all are on the inside – all our nastiness and schemery (oh yeah, I just made that word up!) out in the open and “glorified” — I love the irony of it all!

  133. Emma M.

I’m in the US and I’m most looking forward to reading Invisibility. Who hasn’t wanted to be invisible at some point or another? Sure, it could be a drag if you were just stuck as invisible and you were unable to get anyone’s attention, but think about all the interesting places you could go! Backstage at your favorite band’s concert? Why stop there? Go on stage too while you’re at it! Invisibility just seems to be a really cool gift and I’m excited to see how the author uses it!

  134. Bella

    I’m from Spain! c:
I’d love to read a romantic and fluffy book during summer and I think All I need will be just like that. And I’d love to read The Ward too, it seems to be an epic read! I’m so excited to read any of those too dsjakdsakdkasj Good luck everyone! I’ll be crossing my fingers. Thank you for such an amazing giveaway! <3 HAPPY SUMMER ^^

    I’m in the US. :D

Well, first, I’d love to have The End Games, and not JUST because of the Walking Dead cutout, though that is a factor. :P Also, Parallel because I’m totally digging on the multiverse trend right now. Also, Nantucket Blue and All I Need so I can get my swoon on this summer. :D

You guys are pretty awesome, you know that? ;)

I’m most excited about The Book of Broken Hearts because, hello, boys and bikes? COUNT ME IN. & it kind of reminds me of the Perfect Chemistry series by Simone Elkeles, which I love.

I’m currently reading Twenty Boy Summer, also by Sarah Ockler. I have this feeling that Sarah Ockler will be in my auto-buy author list, because the book is awesome so far.

    Nantucket Blue sounds great too!

So many great titles!!! Tops for me is The Book of Broken Hearts – I had the privilege of meeting the author this month and it sounds fun and flirty and generally awesome. OMG, The End Games is up for grabs! Eeeeeeep! Aaaah! *fans herself to calm down*

Okay, just, firstly, thank you so much for allowing these ARCs to be up for grabs, especially The End Games. I’ve heard so much about it, but I don’t think my mother very happy if I asked her to take me to a bookstore. *sniff*

But then, who knows if Philippine bookstores would even have it? If there’s one thing I know about our bookstores, they don’t really have the nicest books. They don’t even have Shadow and Bone.

Or maybe they do. I just haven’t been to a bookstore in *months*. Cripes.

And there’s Parallel! It sounds like such an interesting concept, and someone I know liked it, so I guess I’m also going to keep my huting eyes out for it when I actually make a trip to a bookstore.

And David Levithan has a new book? I am hopelessly out of touch with the book blogging world. Ugh. But at least, now, I have heard of you, Invisibility! You are now under my radar!

*gasps* Wait. International readers can only get one from the pile? Oh damn. Why did I have to live in the Philippines?

Oh well. Now I have the agony of deciding which book I would pick, if in the smallest of small possibilities that I win.

    Nah, it’s a no-brainer. END GAMES.

I’m mostly excited about Nantucket Blue as it’s the one book that has a lot of hype that has caught my interest. Usually books with a lot of hype for one reason or another turn me off and I can never explain why. Perhaps a bit of over saturation. I’m hoping the book is the sweet romance that I want it to be.

  147. ahz1

    I’m in Canada.
Nantucket Blue looks interesting. I’m looking for light summer reads that will remind me of last summer’s Cape Cod vacation.
How about I win – Wendy picks something out for me. They all look great!

First: I am from the US.

Second: I’m super excited for…Lessee…The Ward, The Boyfriend App, Invisibility…All of them, pretty much. ^^’ As summer comes along, I get a really strong craving for summer reads and cutsey romance books (although I wouldn’t mind the zombies either!) and the variety is quite nice for this giveaway. :)

  149. Evette Torres

I live in the US. I am most excited to read End Games. I am a sucker for anything zombie really. :D I also am excited to read The Ward and Parallel. I am kind of reluctant of Invisibility because of mixed reviews however since David Levithan is the co-author I really want to give it a try. Thanks for the giveaway! :D

  154. Cee L

I’m in the US! I’m really excited about Invisibility. I love the cover. And I really enjoy David Levithan’s work.

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  155. Lynne

I’m from the USA and I’m most interested in Nantucket Blue because it sounds similar to books I’ve enjoyed reading by Elin Hildebrand.

  156. Kate

For anyone wanting to read The Heireses – it’s worth it. Glamourous and dramatic with mysteries and fantastic charaters, this is a book that I adored reading. And it’s by an Aussie author :D

I’m from Australia and I’d love to read Invisibility. Magical curses, NYC and a life or death decision? The blurb makes it sound so dramatic and exciting! And I’ve been a fan of David Levithan since I read Boy Meets Boy ten years ago (wow… now I feel old!). But seriously – it’s a great book. The first one I read regarding a same-sex relationship and I thought it was beautiful.

    Thanks for the giveaway :)

I’m from the USA and I’m super excited to read The Book of Broken Hearts, The Boyfriend App, and Invisibility. I’m so sad to say I’ve never read a Sarah Ockler book but OMG The Book of Broken Hearts looks AMAZING and just the type of contemporary I love! The Boyfriend App looks so cute and seems like a fun read! And Invisibility sounds cooool!! Thanks for the awesomesauce giveaway :)

I’m from the US and I really want to read The Ward and Parallel. The cover for The Ward looks very interesting and I’ve wondered about what would happen if Manhattan was filled with water. I really want to read Parallel because it reminds me of Doctor Who and that’s my favorite TV show. Plus it’s about a parallel universe and I find that subject fascinating! I just think it would be so cool if there really was an alternate universe somewhere out there.

  160. adkwriter15

I’m from the USA and I’m really excited to read The Heiress! I only just found out about it and I CAN’T WAIT to get a hold of it!

  161. Book Wookie

I live just outside Toronto, Canada.

I want to read both The Ward and The End Games, but if forced to choose I’d pick The End Games, primarily because I’ve seen some bad reviews of The Ward. Still won’t stop me from reading it though!

I think my alias should score me bonus points. :P

  162. Sarah S

Im in the US, I’d love to read The Ward because I have heard so many great things about it, thank you! (=

  163. Book and Cat Librarian

I’m in the US. I’m most excited about the Boyfriend App (sounds fun!), Parallel (one of my favorite themes), All I Need (chick lit!) and The Ward (and something not so light!).

  164. Megan Nicole

    I’m in the US.

I am most excited to read Nantucket Blue because it would be the perfect beach read and the cover is just so romantic & perfect.
I’m also dying to read The End Games because I love anything zombies.

All the others are also on my to read list but those two are at the top.

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  165. subtleadieu

I live in the USA! Of the books in the giveaway, I am most looking forward to reading Invisibility and The Boyfriend App! Andrea Cremer is one of my favorite authors – her Nightshade trilogy and prequel are some of my five favorite books. I love them! So I’m pretty much excited to read anything she writes. The Boyfriend App because I was watching a #teatime with Epic Reads and they were gushing over how cute it was so I’m super excited for that one too.

  166. Bridget Howard

I would love to read The Ward. I have heard so many great things about it. I have read Parallel already and I just have to say that I loved it!!! I would highly recommend it!!!

  169. Nitzan-Katia Schwarz

I’m international, all the way from small Israel!

The book I am looking forward to the most is The Book of Broken Hearts. I don’t know, from the title to the cover the the blurb, everything clicked with me and this book. I’ve been dying to read it since I’ve heard of it’s existence. It just sounds like such a great contemporary read, and I really need that.

I’ve also been really looking forward to The End Games for some reason even I don’t know (I think it may be the awesome cover. As shallow as that may be of me :>) and Invisibility because… well, it just sounds awesome. And pretty unique, at least from my reading experiences.

Thank you for this awesome giveaways! :)

  170. kimberlybuggie

  172. Stormy Dawn

    I’m in the US.

So many books I’m excited for, but probably #1 would be The End Games. I’m not a huge zombie fan, but this book sounds different enough and I’ve heard good things to the point I think I might like it. Looking to branch out of my reading comfort zone.

I’m in the U.S. and would love to get my hands on The Heiresses. I’m a sucker for 1920’s London.

  177. Mel@Thedailyprophecy

The Netherlands! The beautiful country with windmills and crappy weather :p

I’m extremely excited to read The end games. I’ve heard so many great things about it! :)

  178. Mrs. S

I’m in the U.S. and I’m dying to read The Heiresses. 1920’s London is my favorite setting!!!

  179. Allison Williams

I am most excited to read The Heiresses by Allison Rushby, I love the glitz and glamor of the 1920’s and the undertone of scandal has me super intrigued. Since it is an impossible request to say which ONE book I am excited for I will also say that I am also seriously looking forward to The Ward — I just cannot get enough of dystopian fiction. I am from the US.

  180. Risbee

I’m in the US — and while I want to read all the books, I’ll pick one because I’m a rule follower :) I’ll pick All I Need because I do love a good summer romance <3 <3 <3

  181. Risbee

Im in the US…and I can’t believe I have to pick one. I want to read all of them. Though since I’m a rule follower, I’ll pick All I Need because I love a good summer romance story <3

The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler
    Nantucket Blue by Leila Howland
    The Heiresses by Allison Rushby
All I Need by Susane Colasanti

I’ve really enjoyed Sarah’s Ockler’s novels so far. The Book of Broken Hearts caught my eye a few months ago. The reviews have been pretty good so far. Also, Nantucket Blue is high on my list. I love a good beach read!

  183. fishgirl182

I live in the US and I am most excited about Parallel because it sounds like Sliding Doors which I really liked. Plus it’s contemporary and I definitely need to read more contemp reads this summer. Thanks for the giveaway!

  184. Danielle Nguyen

I’m from the US. I’m most excited for The End Games, Invisibility, and The Book of Broken Hearts. I love Andrea Cremer’s and David Levithan’s other books, so Invisibility would probably be my #1 pick.

I’m from New Zealand. I am super excited for Nantucket Blue! I’ve heard pretty good things about it and I’m feeling very contemporary-ish right now. It would be perfect!

  187. Kaitlyn (The Bookworm)

    I’m in the US.
I’m most excited about The Book of Broken Hearts! I adore Sarah Ockler’s books – they’re great summer reads – so I’m dying to read it.

  188. Kat

Thanks for the giveaway! I live in the US. =]

I’m definitely most excited about Nantucket Blue or The Heiresses. Both seem like awesome books. Or Parallel, but the other two top it.

  189. Tara Augustyn

I’ve really been wanting to read The Ward becuase I love dystopian novels and I’ve heard nothing but good feedback about it. Most of those novels look Romance-y, not really my type of read. I need a new book to keep me company as I leave all my friends behind to skip Senior year and go straight to college instead. So all of my alloted book funds are going to buy boring college books instead of all the new, shiny ones! US

  190. Hippie Girl

I’m in the U.S. A lot of those books look great, but I especially want to read Nantucket Blue :D First of all, I love the cover, it reminds me of Summer. Also the name just sounds good :) Both of those things are very superficial though, and of course I also want to read it because of the story haha. It sounds like a great romance, and showing how working hard can help you achieve your dreams. Thanks for the giveaway!

I love that you include us international bloggers in your giveaways! It’s awesome to at least have a chance to win :) I live in Switzerland, as you know already ;)

I am in the US and I’m most looking forward to reading Parallel. I’ve always been fascinated with the idea that there are parallel worlds impacting our lives that we just can’t see. Thank you!

  194. Rebecca (RivkaBelle)

Oops, think I forgot my “why” …. I love Colasanti’s books and think this one will be a perfect summer read. And the other two just look fun — I’ve loved Levithan’s other collaborations, so have high hopes for this one too :o)

    Fun giveaway!

  196. Chloe

I’m most excited to read Invisibility and The Book of Broken Hearts – the first because I am a huge fan of Andrea Cremer and have only heard great things about David Levithan (though I have yet to read any of his books, unfortunately), and the second because my friends who have read it have all adored it.

  197. Katie

    I’m in the US.
Most looking forward to The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler! Although The End Games, and All I Need, and Parallel all look great too. Ok, they all look great. It’s hard to narrow it down ;)
