Contest Winners & ARC tour poll

Sci Fi Contest Winners!

We got tons of entries for our latest contest, and I'm pleased to announce that Kristina D. is the lucky winner of the YA Science Fiction ARC Bundle. Congratulations, Kristina--be sure to let us know what you think of your books!

As for the runner-up prize of Julie Cross' Tempest, the winner is Kalen O'Donnell for his choice of Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light.  He says, "its about in the future, humanity colonizes a distant planet, and the crew of the ship that brought them hoarded the technology and set themselves up as gods, modeled after the Hindu pantheon, and use this technology to reincarnate over and over again. It's kinda complicated at times, but so brilliant."

Now how could I possibly resist that? It sounds like an awesome book. Sold, Kalen...sold.

Stay tuned for an awesome giveaway next month, too. It's our one-year blogoversary, so we'll definitely be celebrating with some really fun prizes! And yes, it WILL be an international contest. :)

Poll: ARC Tours

I have a few ARCs that I've been thinking about touring in the U.S., so I figured it'd be good to do an informal poll to find out which titles you'd be most interested in. ARC tours are a great way to share upcoming releases, so if you're a fellow blogger or are very active on GoodReads, let us know in the comments which of these books you'd want to read as part of a tour. The links below will take you to GoodReads, where you can read synopses of each title.

I Hunt Killers, Release Date: April 3, 2012
The Night She Disappeared, Release Date: April 10, 2012
Monument 14, Release Date: June 5, 2012
The Forsaken, Release Date: July 10, 2012

These are some hotly anticipated titles, so we look forward to hearing which ones you all would be interested in seeing be part of the tour in the comments. Funnily enough, my ARC for The Forsaken already has a cover but I don't see it online anywhere yet, so you'll just have to wait and be surprised.

  6. Awwww, congrats to the winners! :) Lord of Light does sound amazing! Set in the future, technology to reincarnate, complicated but brilliant... Sold is right, Wendy!

I love that you're sharing your ARCs for ARC tours, Wendy! <3 I've heard how complicated they can be and I don't think I'd be able to manage it haha but think that they're GREAT ways to get the word out! :) All four titles look so cool, and I really want to see what the cover for Forsaken looks like! I am intrigued! x)

    1. Tours are actually pretty simple if everyone does what they're supposed to do...but sometimes it's difficult if people don't, or if the book goes missing. *sigh*

  20. If I was going to pick one of those, I'd pick I Hunt Killers, but they all sound great. I know this is a little off-topic, but the one I really want you to tour is Masque of the Red Death. Seeing your reaction on GR makes me want to read it that much more. :)

  24. Forsaken or Monument 14. I don't know why but when I was reading the description for Monument 14 I was reminded of Stephen King's The Mist. I guess because at one point they are all locked in a store together. Anyway this sounds great!
